Gas Type Information
Natural Gas - It is piped from the street and there is a gas meter at the house that is provided by the gas utility company.  Here is a sample of a gas meter:


Propane (LP) Gas - Propane is also known as L.P., or liquefied petroleum gas.  It is stored on site in a tank.  Gas is replenished by a truck coming to the premises.  Hare is a sample of a propane tank:


Small propane tanks, like what is used on a gas grill are normally not acceptable for gas logs due to the frequent refills required.  Therefore, we be not recommend this propane tank:
